Conversational English
The Conversational English Program started out as one of the FWC Sections during the 1960s. The original Chairperson, Floryns Atkinson, recruited Reba Baker, who has continued teaching English and American customs to foreign students and their spouses on a weekly basis for more than 30 years. Today the Program is no longer operated under the auspices of FWC. Participants are recommended by the UCSB Office of International Students and Scholars and by word of mouth. For more information on becoming a teacher or a participant in this group, contact Kathleen Scott at (805) 682-6208.
